The trio behind Northeast US-based Model Kit are unapologetic in regards to leveraging 80's synth-pop DNA to achieve their vision: modern romanticism conveyed through layered synths, metronomic beats, and soaring melodies. Their tunes are evocative of a magical time when mascara-Goth and sweater-clad Yuppy shared the same dance floor until dawn, an infectious blur of androgyny, stiff hair gel, and "Choose Life" t-shirts, all enveloped in the occasional whiff of clove cigarette.
